About me

As a passionate Senior Backend Developer, I bring decades of experience and deep expertise in the architecture and implementation of backend systems. My career spans diverse industries including healthcare, medical technology, banking, investment, construction, and telecommunications — delivering numerous successful projects in teams of varying sizes, primarily for large enterprises.

My professional drive lies in analytically understanding complex systems, simplifying them into efficient models, and transforming those models into sustainable software products. I place particular emphasis on the full software development lifecycle, from ideation to customer feedback, and value the principles of DevOps culture for successful execution. I especially enjoy working in agile teams and sharing knowledge and experience with colleagues.

Since the early days of Java, I have been deeply engaged with the language. I particularly value the Spring product portfolio, which I have worked with since its inception. Many of the technologies and methods now considered standard in the IT industry are ones I independently learned and applied in practice.

IT is both my profession and my vocation and hobby. My current focus is on analysing, architecting, designing, and developing backend systems based on Java Enterprise, relational and NoSQL databases, public interfaces — preferably following Cloud Native principles — evaluating architectures, designs, and implementations, fostering agile teamwork and CI/CD, Domain-Driven Design, Clean Architecture, modernising software systems, and transformation towards Cloud Native solutions.

Teamwork in software development

Teamwork

Developing good software is straightforward when the team enjoys constructively tackling the daily new challenges — accompanied by mutual motivation to gather more experience, broaden competencies, try new things, make mistakes, and trust one another. All within a relaxed, collaborative environment, a pleasant atmosphere, and an open, honest, authentic culture of discussion, creating products that matter.

Small robots work like craftspeople at a desk while the monitors show a work board and a complex system architecture

Agentic development

Agentic development marks a new era in creating digital solutions. People define the business purpose, priorities, constraints and acceptance criteria; they decide on architectural principles and trade-offs, set quality gates through to release and retain accountability.

Agents explore the solution space, develop alternatives and handle implementation, testing, review, documentation and deployment within that framework. They provide verifiable results, pass the agreed gates and surface uncertainty – so decisions remain consciously human.
